Viking Longship Pin Badge

Vikings, like Grim the Viking and Havelok had extraordinary shipbuilding skills and their magnificent Viking Longships were key to their success on adventures, invasions and raids. At the front was carved a dragons-head, serpent or other mythical figure.

The Viking's wooden ‘longships’, could navigate rough seas or shallow rivers and could be landed on beaches, just like those at Claythorpe, further along the coast from the marshes of Grim's town.

Enamelled Longship Double Pin Badge is made from metal that is gold coloured inlaid with red and white enamel. 3cm wide and has two pins and clasps so that it sits correctly when worn.
